The standards we expect from organizers, contestants and voters.

Be accurate

Describe your competition, its purpose and where the money goes plainly and truthfully. If something changes, update the page.

Be fair

Publish your rules before voting opens and apply them consistently. Don't change the finish line mid-race, and don't vote in your own competition.

Respect people

Only publish a contestant's details with their permission. Keep campaigning positive — no harassment, pile-ons or attacks on other contestants.

Compete honestly

One person, one identity. Encouraging supporters to vote is welcome; buying votes, running bots or creating fake accounts is not.

Handle problems well

Answer contestant and voter questions promptly, and cooperate with reviews. Most disputes end quickly when the organizer engages early.
