1. Vote types
Free voting is subject to the limit configured by the organizer: one vote per voter, one vote per contestant, one vote per period, or unlimited.
Paid voting allows additional entries at a price set by the organizer, subject to any per-voter cap.
2. Identity and guest voting
Organizers may allow guest voting. Guests provide a name, email address and phone number, which are used to enforce vote limits and to detect abuse. Guest details may later be claimed into a registered account.
3. Schedule
Voting opens and closes at the times set by the organizer in the competition's time zone. Votes submitted before opening or after closing are rejected by the server, regardless of what a stale page displays.
4. Enforcement
Vote limits are enforced by database constraints and server-side validation, not by the browser. All votes pass through a single controlled write path.
5. Invalidation
Votes found to be fraudulent, automated, duplicated or otherwise in breach of these rules may be invalidated at any time, including after voting closes, which may change published standings.
6. Results and ties
At close, the leaderboard is finalized and results are published with the full ranking and vote totals. Ties are resolved according to the tie-break rule published by the organizer; where none is published, tied contestants are shown as joint placings.
