1. General position

Paid votes are voluntary contributions to a third-party competition and are generally non-refundable once cast, because the vote has been recorded and counted.

Statutory rights that cannot be excluded are unaffected by this policy.

2. When a refund is available

Duplicate or accidental repeat charges for the same intended purchase.

Technical failures where payment succeeded but votes were not recorded.

Unauthorized use of a payment method, confirmed by our payment partner.

Cancellation of a competition before voting closes, where the organizer elects or is required to refund.

Votes invalidated by us for fraud, where the associated payment is reversible.

3. Who issues refunds

Because charges are made on the organizer's connected payment account, refunds are issued from that account and reduce the organizer's balance. The platform fee may be retained where a refund arises from organizer conduct.

Where an organizer is unresponsive, we may issue a refund from funds held on their behalf.

4. How to request one

Contact the organizer first through the competition page. If unresolved within a reasonable period, email support@voteforcause.com with your receipt reference, the competition, and the reason. Requests should be raised within [30] days of the transaction.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the issuing bank.

5. Effect on results

A refunded paid vote may be removed from vote totals, which can change standings and published results.
